What the Trips Include
College Selection Workshops
Our "rolling seminars" use the campuses visited as case study for the information provided to the participants. Taking a very "hands on" approach, each student learns to critique the campuses, developing a good understanding of the type of campus which would be best for them.
The 4 Seminars:
1) Learning How to Look
2) The Application Process
3) College Critiques and Campus Ratings
4) The Underground Guide to College Survival
Colleges' admissions reps will also speak to the group and tours of the campuses will be provided by college student tour guides.Program Materials
Background information on the colleges and literature used for the rolling workshops is included. Packets including college data collection grids are distributed on the bus. Sample letters to send as follow up with colleges are included as well.
College Preview Chaperones
CP hires college counselors to escort groups to the colleges. Chaperones serve two roles -- to oversee the students and to teach the rolling seminars -- and are available for questions.
Hotel Overnights or Residence Hall Stays
During the academic year students typically stay in quality hotels, Summer programs may utilize residence halls on campus. What better way to really see the inside of college life! Students may request their own bed or share rooms with other students on the program (at an additional cost).
